Rheem: 40 years exporting added value

Rheem’s history is closely linked to exports, as we have been exporting our products to Latin America and the rest of the world for more than four decades.

We firmly believe in our strategy to conquer new markets: doing things right and creating long-term relationships based on the reliability of our value proposition. This philosophy has brought us benefits and solid commercial ties over the years.

With this spirit, we undertake the adventure of crossing oceans and mountain ranges, always present for our customers at the critical points of their production processes.

Industrial packaging plays a role in our customers’ value proposition, and earning their trust is our priority. The experience of having customers abroad has made us experts in international logistics, understanding transit times and seasonal trends. We pay attention to local preferences and customs, as customers in different countries have varying expectations regarding packaging and delivery.

Rheem’s goal has always been to provide excellent service in all the markets we are present, and well-planned and executed logistics are a fundamental part of that process.

Meanwhile, we never stop investing in research and development to improve design, durability and functionality.

We were born to supply lubricant companies in Chile with metal drums, which opened doors for us in other countries where these companies also operated. If what we did worked in Chile, we could replicate it in different latitudes. And so we did.

Our first exports were to Argentina and Peru due to the proximity of these markets, which gave us competitive advantages. We were able to leverage our reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality industrial packaging in Chile to gain a foothold in these markets. We subsequently expanded into other countries in the region, such as Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

There are indeed daily challenges in the area of foreign trade, such as tariff barriers, bureaucracy and particularly complex import conditions in some countries, but we are prepared to face them.

We have learned a lot from experience: decades in the business have given us a thorough understanding of the processes and the ability to focus on the details, which often make all the difference. When we enter new markets, we don’t hesitate to work with local experts to navigate their particular regulations and laws.

Our flagship products for export are conical drums and cylindrical drums through our QMS (Quick Manufacturing System) plants, which are great allies in the production of our products.
