Chile and the World: domestic trade and exports

Our logic is identical for domestic and international markets: we research, diagnose and delve deep into our clients’ specific production and commercial dynamics.

As a company that offers packaging solutions, we always pay special attention to the possible requirements of our clients. This is why we make our solutions adaptable and flexible, working towards delivering our packaging in in good time and in an appropriate manner, with the expected quality. With the certainty that this contributes to the operative continuity of our clients.

Our logic is identical for domestic and international markets: we research, diagnose and delve deep into our clients’ specific production and commercial dynamics.

Some of our clients are located in Ecuador, the top global producer of bananas.

As industrial packaging suppliers, we observe a great opportunity in this market that held a historical record in 2020, with a growth of 8.5% in exports compared to the previous year. The producers in Ecuador pack their banana purée on our metallic-conical-drums of 60 gallons.

We always look to go further, and thats the reason we became national and regional leaders. According to Mauricio Galleguillos, our Export Sales Sub Manager, there are few companies worldwide with the capacity to do that: “One of the biggest challenges of our country is to add value to raw material”. At Rheem, we do just that. We produce and sell metallic drums and plastic pails: we transform raw material into high-quality products.

Our international commercial expansion has been progressive. “We have started with two provinces in Argentina and now we have a commercial presence in more than 23 countries. The top lubricant companies on the Pacific coast use our drums”, states Galleguillos.

International competition is solid. Nevertheless, we don’t lose our focus on the client, even to the detriment of the amount of packaging sold. We believe this is the way for clients from Sri Lanka, New Zealand or Mexico to trust us. That’s also why business trips mean much more than commercial agreements.

We’re proud to say that our factory can manufacture quality packaging, suitable for participating in dozens of international markets. This achievement is the result not only of an avant-garde industrial plant but also of the outstanding technical and commercial team that makes it possible.

Over 60 years ago, when we started operations, we wouldn’t have imagined having a nearly 100% presence in commercial transactions of juices and fruit purées, for instance. We wouldn’t have thought either that the majority of lubricants from many countries are transported using Rheem packaging. That makes us proud.

Our goal is to keep on growing, keep on innovating, crossing borders and building long-term commercial ties. There are currently a few markets and regions that we are targeting for future operations. Opportunities arise every day, and we are ready to undertake new challenges.
